One of the things I love, love, love about homeschooling my children is that I get the opportunity to try new things alongside my babies, things I didn’t get to do in my early years, or sometimes things I haven’t done since my early years.
EcoKid, at the moment, is very keen on drawing. Her skills have exploded. Just a month ago, she was making no more than random scribbles on paper. In fact, EcoDad and I were both worrying because there had been no change in her relations with paper and drawing implements since she first gripped a crayon in her chubby little fingers. But now… well, now EcoKid draws all sorts of things. She’s especially keen on faces.

I’m about to launch a whole new line of necklaces. They’re much different than the ones I’ve been selling to date. Rustic and elegant. Lots of ribbons, pearls, and frills.
Before I launch them though, I’d like to clear out some of my existing stock, so I’m having a big sale. Most necklaces have been marked down to $10 a piece, making them perfect for stocking stuffers.

I have opened an Etsy shop! I’m very excited! I hope you’ll visit!
I’m also too tired to say more than this… it’s almost midnight which is WAAAAY past my bedtime; I’ve been trying to get the shop up and running. And I’ve suceeded! More necklaces to appear in the shop in the near future. And I hope to have photos of them on actual people soon too; it gives a better idea of the way the necklace falls, you know?

Having had endlessly sick kiddos for the past… (how long has it been??? a month? two?) … while, I’ve not had a lot of time for crafting. Most of my time has been spent tending my sickies, cleaning, and tidying. It never ceases to amaze me how tired, sick children still have boundless energy and invariably channel it to the purpose of mess-making. I mean really, EcoKid did NOT get the memo that with mono she should want to lie about on the couch. No, instead she has torn about the flat leaving trails of destruction in her wake. Ah well… at least she wasn’t incapacitated by it. What more, she seems now to be recovering. Her lymph nodes remain somewhat swollen which makes me nervous but the glint in her eye seems to be returning. Phew.
Anyway, this post is meant to be about crafts, methinks you’ve all heard my ruminations on illness enough to last a lifetime… or at least until my next post 
So, without further ado… my productions of the past month…
My cupcake skirt (the one I made for J.T.– not Justin Timberlake, Sillies, a little girl with the same initials) has become internet famous! Well, okay… perhaps she’s not famous. But she HAS appeared on a blog other than my own.
The shop from which I purchase the cupcake fabric (lonetreequilts on Etsy.com) has a blog. And my humble little cupcake skirt was featured on it! Really! And get this… Woodland Quilts (the name of the store which inhabits a building rather than a web space) is in WISCONSIN…
