EcoMum in the Blogosphere
Remember that ChristmasFuture contest I ran? All the way back in… last month? Wow, it feels like it’s been ages. Well, it HAS been ages since I’ve made my rounds on the web; today I discovered this post at Mom It Forward which includes a piece about my wee contest! Exciting!
Just moments before that little discovery, I was visiting The Entertaining House. There, I found that I’d been given the Lemonade Award!
AND THEN, as I was composing this little text (which, dear readers, has taken me no less than 2 hours so far thanks to the many, ongoing interventions of the EcoTots,) an email came in from Marie at Everyday Matters telling that she too has given me the Lemonade Award.

Who needs adequate sleep, time for exercise, and a clean home? I’ve got two Lemonades and a Mom It Forward mention! I’m on cloud nine, Baby!
One of the great responsibilities bestowed upon me as a humble recipient of the coveted Lemonades is to name several blogs that I think are particularly good at turning lemons into lemonade. I think I’m even more excited about this opportunity than I am about having received the awards.
Jess and Marie are both on my list of recipients; they’re both brilliant story tellers and each have very amusing takes on what are usually the mundanities of daily life. Check them out.
Additionally, I’m passing the award on to Handmade Homeschool, Bluebird Baby, Three Bright Stars, and Sarah Eve Kelly. These are really great, thoughtful blogs written by some incredible women. I get oodles of inspiration when I read Handmade Homeschool. Bluebird Baby makes me want to run straight outside every morning and drink up as much of the world as I can. Three Bright Stars has made me laugh hard enough that coffee has squirted out my nose (that, in itself is not a pleasant experience, but I guarantee you that reading the blog IS.) Sarah Eve Kelly is intelligent and engaging; I get a little brain workout when I visit her blog.
So, for making lemons into lemonade, I salute you Jess, Marie, Poppins, Erin, Liz, and Sarah! Now, as Marie suggests, let’s throw in some tequila and salt and have us a party!
