My Cupcake Skirt in the Blogoverse!
My cupcake skirt (the one I made for J.T.– not Justin Timberlake, Sillies, a little girl with the same initials) has become internet famous! Well, okay… perhaps she’s not famous. But she HAS appeared on a blog other than my own.
The shop from which I purchase the cupcake fabric (lonetreequilts on Etsy.com) has a blog. And my humble little cupcake skirt was featured on it! Really! And get this… Woodland Quilts (the name of the store which inhabits a building rather than a web space) is in WISCONSIN.
Wisconsin is the state of my dreams, my friends. Sure, the place in the world I’d most like to live is London. (No, not London, Ontario which does have a few merits… but only a few.) London, England, my Daddy’s hometown, is the city I love more than any on the planet. But let’s face it, unless the aforementioned Daddy wins the lottery and buys me a flat on Hyde Park, I’m not going to be moving there any time soon. So I like to think in realistic terms… but still terms that excite me. And the top three places EcoDad and I have decided we want to live are: Winnipeg, Manitoba, rural Saskatchewan, or Wisonsin. Nothing excites me like the prairies/the Midwest. Big sky, endless fields, and all the room in the world…
And Woodland Quilts is in Wisconsin.
I don’t really know what this means. That I should move to Wisconsin and become a professional quilter obtaining supplies from a very cool shop with fabulous fabrics? (I’m not being paid to say this… I just found the shop to have great stuff at great prices with great service… and did I mention, they featured my skirt on their blog? They did, they featured my skirt on their blog!)
Well, whatever it means, I know I’ve got a place to buy fabric if we do end up in Wisconsin one day. Which would be GREAT since it’s a fabulous state and I have a pile of friends who already live there…

Well done! You are so inspiring. Almost inspiring enough for me to dust off and try to figure out my sewing machine!
That is a cute skirt. I can see why the shop featured it on their site. I admire your craftiness
