Do you remember the link I posted here last holiday season? The one taking you to the Pioneer Woman’s Spicy Molasses cookies recipe? (Notice how I just gave it to you again thereby saving you the time of searching through my archives trying to locate it? I’m nice that way.)

EcoKid and I have been wanting to do a bit of holiday baking together. We had fun with our GFCF sugar cookies a couple of weeks ago. We’ve still got loads of the dough in our freezer for future baking…

Sorry this post is arriving so late in the day. I suppose for those of you reading this from North America, it’s not so late. But for my readers in the Eurasian time zones, it’s late. And for those in Oceania, well, it’s already tomorrow.

Christmas Crafts Revealed

Well, Christmas is long past and I wasn’t as efficient about photographing my projects as I’d intended to be. Nonetheless, I now present you with a selection of the gifts I crafted for friends and family. Notably absent: the scarves I knit for my mom and for EcoDad (I’m sure he’ll leave a comment explaining that there’s not photo of his scarf yet because I haven’t finished it yet… poo… if only he weren’t right…) Also, EcoKid crafted a pile of things too but I am Crappy Mummy so I didn’t get photos of much of her stuff at all. Perhaps that was because I was trying desperately to keep paints off of walls, faces, and furniture, scampering around like a psychotic little chicken

Gumdrop Cookie Shop Contest!

Gumdrop Cookie Shop. Who can resist a name like that? It sounds like the workplace of the Hansel and Gretel witch. Or, perhaps more pleasingly, the Sugar Plum Fairy. It evokes images of fluffy cotton candy clouds floating gently over a sugary landscape. Ahhh…
